  1. Hi,

Anyone knows of a good program to fix errors on mpeg file? I have a clip in SVCD and want to convert it to either VCD or DVD but when I put this clip in TMPGEnc Plus it converts to only a portion of the clip and gets stuck. So I tried this clip with TMPGEnc DVD Source Creator (DSC)(basically the same as TMPGEnc Plus but has nicer interface and has improved, I think) and got the same problem. I went back and double clicked on the clip and watch it is perfectly ok to watch it with Windows Media Player but about 20 mins into the clip I see a quick blocky few frames. Is this the cause of the error?

I also put this clip in VCDGear and do a quick fix using mpeg--->mpeg to fix the error and got like 77 errors after doing the fix but still got the same problem putting back to TMPGEnc Plus or DSC. Any recommendations on what program to fix this kind of error after VCDGear has failed? Also tried MainConcept MPEG Encoder and got an error message saying error encoding: a file appeared to be missing.

Don't know what to do to fix it now.

    Thanks.

See if Vdubmpeg will play it all .
If so , you can frameserve it to TMPGenc

  3. Where is this Vdubmpeg? Btw, I also put this clip in TMPGEnc Plus in the Mpeg tools to cut/merge the bad part out and when I run it it say illegal mpeg format. Only able to get the first 20 mins of the clip. The rest of clip is "illegal format"

    thanks
