ok so here's the deal, i have my firewire card installed on my 2.4 ghz PC running WinXP Professional ... now when i connect my DVCam (sharp vl-wd450) it installs some driver but says installation of drivers was unsuccessful.. and it doesnt detect the DVCAM (although it does detect "new hardware found") ...
has anyone else had this problem?? anyway to fix this???
any help will be appreciated ... thanks.
ps>> i had this same cam with the same firewire card installed on my other machine... if that helps.

There is no sure way of knowing except by using a neighbor's camcorder on your firewire card, or a different model card with your camera.
