Pioneer 107d buffer underrun problems

I just baught a Pioneer 107d, and I relize it fails to burn any cd, at any speed with buffer underrun protection. Everything works fine on the same pc, same software with my plextor cdrw drive. Is it a detective drive, I really dont want to rma, I just baught it.

I just got one of these drives myself and am having burn problems. What software are you using to burn?

Nero burning rom 6 latest release. I dont think its the software, maybe it is, but why would it work well with my plextor drive.

I was not implying that is was the software. I am having problems as well and I was just trying to see if we had things in common.

I am using Record Now Max.

#1 defrag your hard drive..this causes buffer underrun 9 times out of 10

goto pcpitstop.com and run the full test there

it will tell you things you can do to make your PC run better

check your DISK DRIVES after the test and it will show you the cached/uncached transfer speed which directly affect buffer underrun..about 3MB/S transfer rate is where I am..and higher..I was getting buffer issues on 1.9MB/s transfer rates on one of my drives until I defragged it then all was well.

But I was trying to say my burner is fine it burns at any speeds. But when I enable buffer underrun protection it fails, always.
