okay, so its 2pm on a beautiful sunday afternoon.. i'm over at a relatives house and we're bbq'ing, we plan the food to finish up slightly before 2pm, because ESPN is showing the last hockey game of the year.. 2pm rolls around and they're showing the STL/MIN game, but the guide says that CHI/DAL should be playing... we wait, they never interupt broadcasting and switch over to our game.. i'm thinking this is really weird..

so i call up a friend who has cable and ask him to turn over to over to ESPN, CHI/DAL game is on.. i start getting really pissed now.. my cousin asks me to call directv, since he's got other things to attend do..

i call up pretending to be him and i get a line of excuses..

"that is the game that should be on"
"we only broadcast the espn national feed"
"something" happened at the last minue"
"someone" bought the rights to the game, we cant show it"

i spoke with 2 CSR's & 1 supervisor and got this multitude of answers.

now this is crazy, i've been watching hockey games on directv epsn for 4 years and never had this happen.. i'm guessing they just didnt broadcast the correct game in my region, they just screwed up.. but if this were true, i can only imagine the amount of pissed off customers they have..

i'm not sure if i was lied to or not, but if i wasnt its really stupid of them to do this.. considering they're always hyping why "the dish" is better than cable.. cable has them whomped on this, if i wasnt lied to of course..

if anyone can shed some light on this, i would be really grateful.. thanks..

(p.s.- i've been in thread starting heaven the first few days of this month.. as the work week & month comes it should subside..)

Yeah my girlfriend goes on thread heaven in the beginning of the month too (get my drift?).. and I can tell you it's not as fun as yours I'm sure...
