Hey, I would like to know, who can I re-encode a wide screen video so, that it would stay wide scree, so, on a 4:3 tv, the dvd player could put the black stripes there itself and it would be full screen on 16:9 TV. I'm using TMPGenc to encode.

  2. You don't need to do anything. Set the aspect ration information of the video to 16:9 and that's it. The player will do the rest depending on whether you've configured it for 4:3 or 16:9 TV set.
