Is not that I do not like the new reality shows that are up and running currently on tv, eg: Rich girls (mtv), Simple life, the apprentice, etc, but they tend to focus on the Rich people that at the end of the "reality show" they become richer because they were on tv.
I think there should be more reality shows that focus on the poor as well. They should be the real "reality shows" that would show how a poor man, woman, or familiy has to go throgh things to be better in life.
Im not talking only about the big time poor-homeless kind of people, but at least it there should be a reality show that really show the reality of today's medium-low class society. In return, im sure that at the end of the show, this man, woman or family that was featured in the real reality show will start to receive help in any way possible from the viewers, just like the rich rich "reality shows" do,
What do you all think?

Depends on the concept of the reality show really, if done inproperly it could be construed as making fun of the poor.
I think most people take solace in the fact that the girls featured in shows like Rich Girls will probably lose their families fortunes before they die. -
I hate reality TV. I hate it so much that other than the Simpsons and sports I do not watch Network television.
I wouldn't watch a poor man reality anymore than I would watch the others...I see poor man reality everyday...but I refer to it as my life. -
I hate reality shows. The only one I'd consider watching is that one with Paris and Lionel Richie's daughter. And only if they stripped down naked with each other. That might get me to tune in.

Reality TV sucks. If I wanted to watch reality I'd turn the TV off.
Plus the fact that these reality shows are as far away from reality as you can get. -
Fear Factor is the only one I'll watch. They seem to have an entrance requirement that all women participants must be supermodel caliber. Not a bad standard

Fear Factor is reality TV?
I watch Fear Factor with Evonne.
I lvoe how they show the girls undressing very slowly, and they don't show the guys undressingClassic

I think fear factor sucks too.
I have some suggestions for fear factor....
How about taking everyone up in an airplane, tossing out their parachute and then tossing them out 2 seconds later, he who catches, puts on, pulls chord and lands safely moves on to the next round.
How about Bobbing for piranah?
How about Great White Shark rodeo wearing chum bathing suits...
How about wild boar hunting with a spoon
How about snatching a piece of meat out of a crocodiles mouth with your teeth
Survivor sucks even worse....voted off...what a crock that is.....
How about putting them on a different island...like antarctica...with a spoon.
How about a race to swim from San Francisco to Hawaii
How about this how about taking all the contestants starting them at 2nd base in Cominskey Park, dressing them up in Klan hoods and outfits and giving them 2 hours to get to 2nd base a Wrigley Stadium on foot...
How about doing a fire walker's special and having those with the mental powers walk across molten lava.
I know, how about each contestant with pockets full of salmon spending 5 minutes in a cage with 10 starving grizzley bears.
Now if any folks survive...they are truely winners...not just better liars and backstabbers than the rest. -
It's true that there are a lot of shitty reality shows on TV. I think there are some good ones though too. They're either your cup of tea or they're not. Same as any other genre of film or TV. Shows I watch:
1. Survivor, particularly while drunk. At which point it is referred to as "Swervivor".
2. America's Next Top Model- Half-nekkid catty females stabbing each other in the back. Great TV.
3. The Apprentice- Basicaly Survivor with clothes. The board room scenes are classic.
4. The Real World- The grand-daddy of them all. I've been hooked on this show since year one. It's gotten better over the years since each cast seems to be required to consume lots of alcohol.
I'm glad for some of these reality shows. They gave me a reason to give up all the poorly written crap sitcoms and static crime dramas completely. -

They make reality shows about rich people with low class too...
Anna Nicole Smith & The Osbournes
You can't any lower than that
Unless maybe they give Courtney Love her own show
What it all comes down to is ratings...the TV producers look for stuff that'll catch the public's attention. -
I couldn't agree with you more Rookie64, Anna Nicole is so bad at whatever she does, its funny ( for some people ) but I tend to not stand Dumb Blondes specially, Jessica Simpson which is anooother
"reality show" about the Low Class rich and how they get richer.
America's Funniest Home videos are old but still make me laugh. Glad that still some classics are aired up in spite of some sucky "great" reality shows these days.
