Just wondering, if I download a "free template" from some site. Use it...then later find out that it was actually NOT a free template and that whom ever was hosting the template actually took it by some other means, would I be in trouble. I know most people aren't lawyers, just though someone might of heard something!?

maybe, if the people who own the rights to the template find out you have it.
what is it a template for? is it something that you can re-create on your own, and make your own version?- housepig

I just wanna check out some of the free templates that are floating around, see if I can change them to suit my needs. Whether it be for personal use (I live in Japan, and would like to have something up to show pics and stuff) or for a little side business (Private English lessons available...) or something like that. BUT I don't want some company sending me a letter saying they are suing me for stealing or something.
