  1. This is a first time for me using DVD Shrink and I really have no idea where else to turn. I'm using the newest version of DVD Shrink.

Whenever I click 'Open Disc' on this DVD I get an almost immediate error that stops the analyzation process. Has anyone else experienced this problem with this DVD or know of any reason why this would occur? It gives me the following error (and this is on both my Lite-On 851S and the Pioneer I usually use to rip with) :

'DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.

    Programming error - exception occurred
    '

It plays just fine on both of my DVD players. Also, the analyzation has made it to 9% before but typically errors out at about 1-3%.

BTW, even if you don't know what is causing the problem can you please tell me what other program I might want to try in order to rip the video files? I'm sure that if I can get it ripped that I can still use DVD Shrink to size it.

    Thanks.

  4. What does the video preview do exactly? And if it does what I think it does (just allows you to see at what point it is at in analyzation) then I wonder how that would be a problem?

  5. I backed it up using shrink 3.05 "Reauthor Mode" compression @ 87% with preview and without error. Not sure why some are having problems with 3.17.

  6. Well, it works with the video preview off. I guess it may be worth mentioning to the dvd shrink peeps as apparently there's some bug there if I'm not alone in getting the error.
