I just want to capture some Christmas Specials on TV, but I only have $100 to spend on a capture card. What's the best capture card that I can get?

Try the PV231. It's around US$85.00 plus s&h and it captures to mpeg1 and vcd mpeg1 so you can burn it directly and play it in any dvd vcd compatible player.
