Was wondering, now that MTR is out, are the other two dvd rippers still needed? Is there anything MTR can't do that the others can?

I would really prefer to streamline my applications and cut out the unnecessary/overlapping apps ??

    thanks for any input !

OSEx can extract elementary streams, has possibly better chapter support, and can extract a title set or chapter range as a single VOB file, useful for some conversions. Plus, it has a bunch of different extraction modes to try should some fail. I'd definitely keep a copy of that handy. DVDBackup is pretty much useless at this point.

you need to do some serious reading.....

MTR does lots the others cant. I wouldnt say toss others, but i would say use MTR more.

    you also left out YADEX.
Personally, YADEX and MTR are the only ones I use anymore, and i still have the others for the mere fact of having them

So can MTR do everything DVDBackup can?

I should keep YadeX, MTR and 0SEx?

Keep em all. You never know when you might need one of them for a reason you cannot yet think of. Its not like they take up any space anyway.
If it isn't broken, take it apart and find out why.

Yes, MTR can do everything DVDBackup can, and then some. It also removes RCE region protection, which DVDBackup and OSEx don't, and Yade isn't too successful at. But yeah, I'd keep em all, just in case some don't work.
