I need something which will lock out user access of a DVD burner. Some programs do this automatically like NERO, but others like Instant copy do NOT do this.
the problem is if you by mistake click on the my computer icon while burner a dvd, the system will try to make sense of what is being burned. what happens then is the burner application (i.e. instance copy) and explorer will fight over the dvd drive and the overall burn time goes from about 15 mins, to about 75 or more mins.
Nero handles this great, but instant copy (and a few others) makes life difficult. I am not sure if this happens on all XP systems, but the makers of instant copy told me this is normal.
THANKS!!
