  2. Well, you have not really given anyone much to go on have you ?

Are these files still in the divx format (are you playing on a divx capable player), or have you encoded them to some other format (VCD, DVD etc).

You really need to give all relevant infomation if you want any chance of an answer.

  4. What DVD player are you using, are you sure you are using a codec that it is capable of playing, and I believe some will only play files with certain resolutions.

  6. Well I can now tell you what your problem is, that player will not play divx files (very few will) You really need to do some reading of the guides section.

First you need to decide what format you want the film to be in, VCD, SVCD, DVD (you obviously need a DVD burner for DVD). You then need to encode the files to mpeg format. They then need authoring before you can burn to disc. Like I said do some reading of the guides, specifically the convert and author section. You can then come back and ask specifics on areas where you might get stuck.

    Basic tools I would reccomend.

Virtualdub, you may need this to save the audio from your divx if it is encoded with a variable bitrate, some encoders do not like VBR audio and will give audio sync problems.

    tmpgenc for encoding

Nero for authoring and burning VCD and SVCD

    DVDlab for authoring DVD

Record now max for burning DVD.

  8. Simply select the VCD option and drag your mpeg file across, it is really very simple.

Dude, until you start doing some reading you are not going to get good at anything. All of the information is available to you by clicking the links on the left side of this page and by finding a guide which will give you step by step instructions. If you have trouble with particular step, or you have a specific problem then post your question. The forum members are more inclined to help someone who is making an effort to help themselves.
