Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought someone told me that I could encode a 23.98 m2v, and that I could burn it to a DVD, and that any standard player would recognize it and apply a 3:2 pulldown to bring it back up to 29.97. However, the DVDSP 1.5 manual says that all DVDs much contain 29.97 material, and indeed DVDSP 1.5 refused the 23.98 m2v that I had encoded with Bitvice. (VLC verified that the file was ok.)
Is thia just a limitation of DVDSP 1.5, or did I misunderstand how DVDs deal with 23.98 material?
