Maybe but your DVD Player would need to be Macro-fee

There are two what are called 'Hacks' for DVD Players.

One is a region hack which allows you to play discs of any region.

The other is a macro hack which disable the encryption system somehow.

I have a MUSTEK V520 and I can back up to my VCR which I wouldn't be able to do without being macro free.

I assume it will work the same with a DVD recorder. I have a DVD Recorder but haven't tried it yet as it is much faster to do it on a PC.

Takes about 30 mins on PC and obviously it would copy in real time to a DVD Recorder.

have you searched the net for hacks for it

Without a hack you don't really stand a chance.

  9. This can be done if...

    1. The player has been modified to not output both Macrovision and CGMS/a copy protections. (There are a FEW models out there on which this can be done.)

    or...

    2. The recorder has been modified not to recognize the above mentioned copy protections while in the record mode. (I only know of one recorder on which this is possible.)

    or...

    3. You use the device between the player and recorder shown here:

  11. I got a Sansui for Christmas and haven't found a way to get past copy protection yet. I have tried the Facetvideo and a AVT 8710 TBC and it will record for about 5 minutes then stop.
