Hello! I need your help. Maybe.


I finally got around to doing an inventory of my personal belongings 3 years after we left Albuquerque. We lost only a select few items in transit, but one of them I want to replace, and I haven't had any luck on eBay or half.com.

What I am looking for is the Zeus Official Expansion: Poseidon. It's a game released by Sierra Entertainment. Originally, it was released in a box with a paper manual and the CD. I lost my copy, and I want to replace it.

The game has also been released as part of two different compilations: Acropolis, and the Great Empires collections. I already have both. But software collecting is one of my hobbies, and I want to replace the lost copy with a 'New in Box' version, complete with everything. The only ones I ever find on eBay are the 'CD in paper sleeve, no manual' ones that people are hijacking from Acropolis or Great Empires.

My usual trollers on eBay have had no success, and that has been a surprise. I thought I'd try the dvdrhelp.com crowd for some help on this one. You would not have to include the original CD; what I'm really after is the box and all the materials that came in the box. I contacted Sierra and they did not have any left in their warehouse channels, but suggested eBay and amazon.com. Been there, done that, no luck.

When I got my very first computer, it came with a bundle pack of various software. Mine had Sierra's Kings Quest IV, and I quickly became addicted to it.
I usually don't play games, but I ended up trying to collect the whole series...and they're not easy to find, but I kept looking and eventually got 'em all.

The bundles came in sleeves - some with a booklet.
Only a couple in jewl cases.

The ones I tracked down on Ebay and Half.com came in the orginal boxes with all the artwork and extras.

Sierra makes great stuff.

That's the right game. But like every other eBay listing I've seen, they don't offer the original boxed release. Just the CD with manual on PDF file.

I'm a new-in-box kinda guy. I like pretty pictures and thick instructions manuals, even though I never read them.

I've been a Sierra fan since the Outpost fiasco. I forgave them. Eventually.

It'll be hard to get one in mint condition, but the best thing is to keep checking Ebay daily...one will eventually show up.
