Subtitles with DVD2SVCD

Hey - I used this very good in depth guide on how to make an avi become a SVCD. The guide was easy, and i used virtual sub and dvd2svcd among other programs. Now my question is; How do I insert subtitles into my movie with DVD2SVCD. I see there is a fan with the name "Subtitles", but I do not know how to fix it Also when I am about to convert my movie i can choose to use external subtitles, whatever that means!

If anyone can provide me with a short step by step on how to do so, I would appreciate it greatly!

If you have a backup of dvd use
in the tab for subtitles use Subtitle Lang (1,2,3 etc)


To see Floating subtitles you need a dvd player capable of
displaying svcd subtitles (SVCD subtitles) there are few

Permanet are the ones there are blended in the picture
you can see it in svcd capable dvd with out svcd subtitles



if you dont have a dvd backup instead for example
a divx movie and *.srt subtitles

use the same tab of subtitles but dont select
any subtitles, only SVCD subtitles or permanet,
the font color etc In subtitle Palete, ext subtitle font
but rater select from the CONVERSION tab
Other thing you can't see preview of externar subtitles.


I have convert about 80 divx to svcd with subtitles
I have APEX AD-1500 that works great
the backups of DVD's to SVCD are almost indentical
I USE CCE and 4 Pass
