  1. When I burn a backup DVD-R using DVD Shrink and Nero 6, I always include the disc title in the provided "Volume Name" space in Nero. However, when I play back the DVD-R's in my Sony stand-alone player, it won't always display the title. I assume that when my player is referring to "Title", it's referring to the discs' Volume Label? Is this not the case? Is the disc title text something else that's found in the VIDEO_TS directory? Since I normally rid my backups of menus and other miscellaneous info, maybe I'm also deleting a file that genrates the Title feature on my DVD player? Just curious...

What does your DVD player show when you put in an original DVD?
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  3. Well...I've been backing up the Babylon-5 series. The Original discs show "Babylon 5" as the title. Some of my backups do this, too, and some don't. But I've split these discs, from DVD9's with four episodes per disc, to DVD5's with only two episodes per disc. When I back up a complete DVD9 to DVD5 of a movie -- like, The Philadelphia Experiment, that's what displays for the title on both the original and the backup. That's why I was wondering if re-authoring the discs has something to do with the Title, and that it's not the same as the DVD's "volume" label.
