  1. I have authored a DVD which will be replicated to "real" DVDs.
    Since I don't have a DLT tape to provide, I have to give a DVD+R or DVD-R master. I know that a +-R copy is not 100% compatible on all players. But when the facility house makes the replications (glassmasters), will THOSE be 100% compatible, even if they come from a +-R disc?

    Don't ask us... ask your production house if they accept masters on DVD+-R disks. Some do, some don't.
