  1. Hello guys,

ok i got gothika as .avi with subs, the subtitel was .srt i converted that with srt2sup to .sub than i converted the avi to vob with cucusoft avi to dvd converter than i used ifoedit to put it all toggeter.

I burned the dvd with nero. everything went well no error or warnings at all. so i put the dvdr in the dvd player and i hit subtitels works good 2, but i cant see the letters of the subs only a small bar filled with the color with or pink everytime there used to be a subtitel text.

ne1 had this problem before or can help me with this problem?

In the text area, after srt2sup has finished rendering the srt to sup, there are four lines of hex codes that you must use in the subtitle color table in the IFO for your movie. I think it's found under the PGCITI node (or something like that). So, after IfoEdit is done building your DVD, you edit the IFO and set the subtitle colors as srt2sup says.

    From the str2sup site:
    10. Save the SUP file. This may take a while as the text has to rendered and converted into graphics for the DVD. At the end of the SUP file creation you will be given the colour settings you will need to enter into the IFO file using IFOEdit.

It's the first 4 color entries that should be altered. They are given in the lower text area of the srt2sup user interface.
You just double click on the values (like where it says 0 128 128 in the picture) and type away.

IIRC, srt2sup gives you the hex codes to enter, as you're supposed to enter hex values, but if not, convert from dec to hex by hand (Windows Calculator can do it for ya...)

  9. Hi,

If you want an easy way to set the colours in an IFO file you could use my SupRemap program:

    www.shipleys.eclipse.co.uk

It allows you to set colours using a colour picker NO HEX EDITING (unless you want to).

Make sure you use 4 different colours for [text][antialias][background] and [outline] in Srt2Sup!

    Regards
