SONY DRU 700A dual layer burner

Hi All

Just got my new drive, seems very good fast and quite, but.... I can't burn .img files either with dvdecrypter or the supplied Nero software. Any one alse getting this at all? Video ts folders have burnt okay with brilliant results.

i've burned image files just fine as everything else i've burned with this burner. Also noticed the rip speed is equal to my Lite-Ons...which is very fast. Love this drive already and only had it a few days.

No reason why u shouldn't be able to burn img files though. are you making .ISO files?

I boughtt he DRU 700A on Sunday and I am loving it.

My old burner was something I bought a year ago that cost more and after 4 months stopped writing successful DVDs on anything but Fuji DVD-rs. I think the brand was Optorite.

This Sony one is working nice for me. I was disappointed that the DL media is not out yet, but I burn DVD+Rs and data dvds without problems at all.

What media/software are you using. I have found I can burn .iso files using clonedvd2 ok, but dvdcrypter & Nero just come back with errors all the time, although video ts files burn ok with Nero.

I'm currently using Ridisc 4x -r's (ritek g04) & also Datawrite 8x -r's using a fuji dye.
