  1. Hi all

    I copied my first dvd yesterday dremcather using nero version 6 recode 2 and anydvd running in the background, when i went to watch the film it was perfect all the way through untill the last 10 mins when the picture kept going blocky and freezing, any ideas what could cause this?

    I am using a toshiba sd r6112 drive on a laptop with 2400+ processor 512k ram 40g harddirve and the blank dvd i was using was a yello datawrite classic.

    any help would be appreciated.

    Sounds like bad media. Have DVD Shrink compress it to around 3 GB, burn it, and try again.

  3. Yep, sounds like it. Although it may play perfectly well on some other player.

    Get some Ritek G04's and see if that resolves the problem.

  5. Ritek G04 will definitely solve this problem.
    I got the same issue with crappy media (OPTODISC).
    After copying the content of OPTODISC to Ritek G04 (with DVDDecrypter), the problem goes away with the Ritek disc.
    Lesson learned: don't try to save money to buy cheap / crappy media.
    It end up costing more.
