LG Standalone DVD Recorder

Does anyone have an LG standalone DVD Recorder? I saw one advertised here in Australia as a multi-format (-R/RW / +R/RW) recorder. It's around half the price of the Sony multi-format recorder. No details have been posted as yet on LG's Australian website. I'm just wondering if these are a decent recorder and wether or not they have any major issues?

Seems some models in the range are -RW/-R only and others(the more expensive are dual format?)
Future models dual format only?
