Dear all,
Could anybody indicate me some benchmark results of the different conversions and codecs that are incorporated in FFmpegX?
I am running a imac DV SE (G3 400Mz) with 256 MB RAM and OSX.2.8.
I recently tried my first avi to (s)vcd conversions.
The fast vcd option went quite OK, and took only a couple of hours for a 700MB avi conversion. Unfortunately the quality is not that good.
But converting then the same file took to svcd took about 24 hours, which I find a little bit too much. Is this normal?
Is mpeg2enc faster or slower than ffmpeg?
Are there ways to improve the result of the fast VCD encoder?
Thanks for your help.
Raf
