  1. Newbie Alert!
My Accoustic Solutions 321 has unfortunately given up the ghost and is out of warranty.

What I really liked about the machine was the ease of being able to turn off the macrovision from the remote using the secret menu and also being able to make region free?

Can anyone recommend a sub-£100 dvd player that would allow me to make region free and macrovision? I've tried working through the hacks and whilst there are many hacks for differing DVD's to make region free, I can see very little for Macrovision.

Please help as I miss my AS321!

    Thanks....

If you live in top half of UK . This link is for Northen Computer Markets I occasionally visit Bowlers and there are always loads of sub 50 quid DVD players which are region and macro free which will play pretty much anything. I bought a Mustek about 18 months ago and I haven't had any problems with it and it plays anything I throw at it.

  3. thanks AndyP1 for responding.
I was thinking more of retailers on the high street (Argos, Richer Sounds, Dixons etc) that are also online... The Acoustic Solutions 321 did me proud until it ran out of steam - are any of the high street brands macro free-able?

Try this link to Richer Sounds They have Acoustic Solutionsand many others. They do a lot of Region Free . I don't think they sell macro-free but you could cross check the models in the DVD Hacks list . I beleive the prices are probably the cheapest in UK.
