  1. A 100ft(30m) meteorite would make a crater 5 miles(8km) wide and cause the sky to turn dark for weeks if it hit land,if it hit an ocean it would cause a 250ft tidalwave that would encircle the globe.
The Barringer crater in Arizona is one mile(1.6km) in diameter and was created by a 10ft(3m) iron meteorite.
It's not a question of if,it's when a big one will hit.

I'd rather not know. Let me go on with my meaningless life until the meteor hits.

  3. I agree that I wouldnt want to know. Its not like running around doing certain things would make it easier to accept that my life was about to end...either way your screwed.

  5. I read that if this crater did have a course for earth that it WOULDN'T have any problems because most of it would break up in our atmosphere on entry. That comes from CBS.com

I'd still prefer to nuke it while it's still in space.
