  1. Please if you own/know alot about this player I have a few questions:

    1. Is it 100% sure to play: VCDS, SVCDS, XVCD, and SVCDS

    2. Can it play Svcd's with subtitles?

    3. What do you use to burng the following in question #1

OR ANY other advice you could give me...this will be the 3rd DVD player that I have bought and I hope itz the LAST!

  2. I donīt own the player but i have researched it a bit.

    1. It can probably play most vcds, i have heard people who have had problems with high bitrate S/X/VCDs.

2 Probably not, i have asked the same question in these forums, but nobody could tell me for sure. The predecessor the Pioneer 434 can NOT play SVCD subs.

3 What?! burng? hehehe do you mean bung?

Pioneer has got a pretty good record when it comes to accepting different burned CDR. Due to the double laser, and good error recovery.

    Problems:

It is NOT a sone free or macrovision free player and there is as of now no easy hack to make it one.
It can play MP3s but probably no VBR MP3s, and it only shows 8+3 letters of the filename when it plays your file.

Dammit!, i really wanted this player to be perfect, no SVCD subs and shitty MP3 support, hmmm... guess i have to wait some more...
Why canīt the "big hifi" names come out and support SVCD and MP3 for real. Now the only options are some dubious Asian players.

    Anybody got any suggestion?
