Just thought that it would be good source of information. I burned some DVD-R on Panasonic DMR-E30 and E80H, but I have trouble to play them on some DVD Players.
Mintek 2580 - OK
Daewoo DVD-5800 - ERROR
CyberHome CH-DVD 320 - Mostly OK (some discs from E80 are freezing, not sure if it is just media issue since they play fine on Mintek)
Pleae post your DVD Player compatibility list for Panasonic's DVD-R

From what I read Daewoo is one brand that that does not like Panasonic DVD recorder DVD-R's. Pioneer 510 also has this same problem with play back on some player's. I think it has some thing on how the info file's are made. If you think about it you burn the vob file's first then you add menu's then finalize the DVD-R. On my Apex 5131 fast forward only work at 2X. But on my two Sony DVD players and Pioneer and JVC they all play Panasonic DVD-R fine. I have to click on the title as the play button does not work well it does work if you hit it two time's.

I have the Pan E30 recorder and both a Sony DVP-615P and DVP-665P players. Fuji media works everytime, recordered several hundred without problem with recording or playback. Same story with Verbatim DataLife Plus. When I first started, the first 50 or so recordings I made were on Memorex. All recorded fine. All but a few played back fine. No freeze ups but occasional green square would pop up and sometimes some picture break-up. Would play fine one time and have artifacts the next, and vice versa. I redid everything I had done on Memorex. Don't trust them. Just cause it played fine once doesn't mean it will the next time.

I'm thinking of getting a Panasonic S35 to solve these incompatiabilities and adding DVD-RAM read capability. -
TDK DVD-R Discs made with Panasonic E80
Pioneer DV-525 - Plays fine.
Playstation 2 - Does not play at all. -
DVD-R's made on my Panasonic E20 & E50 play fine on the following:-
Panasonic S35 (also plays -RAM, although no seamless play)
Teac DV2150
Sony PS2
I use TDK, Verbatim, Panasonic, & Media Cache (made by Teac). All work without a hitch.

DonPedro,
I thought you were a PHillips man, did you abandon DVD+R?
Did you find the Phillips recorded DVDs more compatible?
According cdrinfo.com, the Phillips compatibility claim are baseless. Comments anyone? -
DVD-Rs made on my DMR-E20...
Work perfectly fine on...
JVC XV-N44
PS2
Work so-so on...
Daewoo 5700 -
Yea update maybe I was doing something wrong.
Panansonic DVD-R
TDK DVD-R 2X
Work fine with sony DVD-ns725p and my computer's DVD player. -
A friend of mine just bought the E50...
Using 2 brands of media (CompUSA, and some generic type)...
Only the MENUS show on my Apex 1100 (1MB)... recordings will not play.
I have not tried on my older Apex 600A,
but evidently these disks play fine on the Apex 1500.
Apex 1100 (1MB) - Problems
Apex 1500 - No Problems
