    I'm trying to make a vcd of songs where the video is a visualization (windows media visualizations) to play back on a screen in a car. is there an easier way to do it other than recording to another source ( such as vcr) and then capturing again with video card, then converting to vcd?

    I guess you could use Snagit to capture an avi file of your visualisations, then multiplex the video file with the audio while encoding to VCD format using TMPGENC.
