Hi Guys.I'm trying to get ac3 audio to work in the very expensive Ulead DVD WS 2.0. I have version 1.3 with the ac-3 powerpack as well (installed at the same time). I wanted to use only ver. 2 but I wanted to make sure everything was working in 2 before I uninstalled ver.1.3. Sure enough, I'm having problems.

I can't get v.2(full version) to play back ac3 audio in an mpeg file.

I use premiere pro's mainconcept mpeg encoder to output a multiplexed mpeg(CBR 8000kbps, ac3 audio_192kbps). This mpeg has ac3 audio (using the surcode engine in premiere). Anyways, I've had no problems using these files in Dvd WS 1.3 with the AC3 powerpack. However, I can't get dvd WS 2 to play the audio in the same files.

I just read a post and have copied the relevant into below.

"DLL HELL" can occur when different programs offer MPEG encoding based on the same SDK (in this case the MainConcept SDK).

I searched the Ulead FTP site and found what would seem to be a solution for this issue.

The zipped file can be downloaded at the following link:

    ftp.ulead.com/Silent/DVD Workshop/fix_Premiere conflict_Problem.zip

I can't get this zip file anywhere though. This link doesn't work either.

Can you please help. I feel like I've just wasted a lot of money of DVD WS 2. Ironically enough, I felt the same way when I purchased 1.3 ac3 power pack... but got it to work after help from this site. So please help me once again.

    Cheers.

    Bt.

  2. I just tried the following FTP link...

    ftp.ulead.com/Silent/DVD Workshop/fix_Premiere conflict_Problem.zip

    ...and it worked.

I suspect there may have been a temporary issue with Ulead's FTP server when you tried.

So if one encounters this problem, wait a few hours and then try again.

I would strongly encourage you to contact Ulead's technical support teams prior to any attempt to install the fix.

There are two methods for obtaining support.

You can phone Ulead's Los Angeles technical support team:

    1 (310) 896-6391, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm PST

You can also log-in to the Web page at the following link:

    http://www.ulead.com/tech/suppform.htm

This will give you access to the official e-mail technical support request form.

    Hope this helps,
