I have menu that i built with dvd-lab, put it on a dvd with some footage my friend filmed, and recently had my system drive crash, so i had to get a new hd and redo a lotta stuff. lost the save file for dvd-lab with the menu but still have the dvd with the menu, its a fairly hard to make menu, took a good while, i don't wanna redo it, but i want to change something about it, is there ANY way i can rip to hd...then open back up in dvd-lab? i'm thinking the answer is probably no but its worth a shot, took me a good while to make.

    thx, josh

  2. Yeah you can do that, sort of... Basically you'll have to reauthor the DVD. The menu is stored in the VTS_XX_00.VOB file. Just rip as normal, then de-mux to m2v and ac3. You'll then have to generate a new subpicture and re-assign all the buttons.

But the video for the menu can be recovered.
