ok I recently backed up all my files (video, pictures, etc..) onto DVD Rw disks (using drag and drop) but when I finished I left the session open and did not close out the disks. I formatted and partitioned my harddrive and after reinstalling all my software and hardware my dvd burner will not read the disks. It shows that the disks are blank. Does anyone know any free programs or other ways you can view an open disk. I know many times if a disk is left open other burners and drives can't read them but I am using the same drive and software. Any suggestions ??????? Thanx

how (and with what app) did you initially format the rw disks for drag 'n drop ?

Were you using an application that uses DLA packet writing software perhaps? RecordNow Max is one that uses it. DLA is a PITA, IMHO.

Yes it used DLA unfortunately. I have recordnow, I just right clicked the drive and formatted then drag and dropped my files and ejected the disk without closing
any sugestions???
