    My mom bought Northern Exposure on DVD and of course it's PAL and it wont work in her player. Is there an easy way to convert it to NTSC?

    I'd also be interested in hearing if there are any simpler ways to do it.

    The guides on this site for PAL to NTSC conversion are extremely complex!

    It's not hard.
    Separate the audio and video
    re-size and re-encode the video to 720x480 23.976 with pulldown
    resample the audio to 23.976
    author

    Plan B is to go buy a DVD player that does it automatically
    I have one that cost $45
