I have a VCD disc and when I try to see it in my DVD player, it is recognized as a mp3 disc. A friend of mine tested it in his DVD player and it was OK. I´m sure that my dvd player support VCD format cause it is specified in front of it. What is wrong? please help me...

Try playing using PowerDVD or any other DVD software on your computer.
    If in doubt, Google it.

OK. That narrows it down to either your DVD Player full stop or the combination of your DVD Player and the media you used.

    I suggest two alternatives:

    1. Attempt to play the VCD on someone else's DVD player
    Done and it works fine.

    2. Burn the VCD using a different brand of discs.

It is obvious to me that your player might be very selective as to the brand of discs it plays.

What make is your DVD Player ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Never heard of it. Have you tried the DVD Players section to the left ?

I have come across a couple of players every now and again that has printed on the case that it will play VCD only to not play any CDRs at all ! Basically, it will only play pressed (commercially made) DVDs, VCDs and Audio CDs. Try other brands of CDR. Apart from that I cannot think of anything else....apart from buying a new DVD Player.
    If in doubt, Google it.

On a offchance could be the burning program cause i remember awhile ago when one of nero`s numerous updated version caused lots of svcd burns not to play on certain burners due to a certain file they took of off the svcd protocol.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
