Does Windows recognize the DVD burner?
I wouldn't think Pinnacle would require you to reinstall if Windows knows that the burner is there. -
Yes, Windows does recognize the new burner. But Pinnacle does not. I will try to uninstall and reinstall Pinnacle!
Thanks -
More likely you need to update Pinnacle, if possible.
Even Nero and EZ-CD need to have that particular burner in its database to recognize the burner. "Supported" drives, they are called.
Once again, I took back a defective LiteOn 811, got an 851 in exchange, upped the firmware soon as I installed, and Nero does not see it, in V5.5.10.54. 6.xxxx does see it and can burn with it.
Check for update first.
