  1. I have burned several DVD+R & RW (Imation) to 2,4x using DW-U14a 1.0c., Nero 6 & Shrink 3.0. All seem fine.
Then I have tried using 4x with Philips DVD+R. It works at 4x but when is played in the reader it has some pauses and intervals. It seems that these small pauses coincide with the change of some chapters and I think that they can be because of having used Shrink to compress the movie.
Will it be also due to the media or to the driver firmware?. Does somebody know the real cause?

Had the same prob with DVDShrink in a few movies!
Charlies Angels Full throttle and Bad Boys 2.
Slight pauses at chapter changes and so on.
Tried diff media (+R, -R, crappy cheap ones, TY's, TDK's) and burning speeds (x1, x2, x4), no joy!
After a few coasters , i found that the pauses were even present in the HDD files in the exact same points!!!!(Played with winDVD)
Version used was the 3.0 beta 5.

Anybody got some insight on this?

    Thanx

  3. I burned two Pirates of the Caribbean disks. The pauses only appear in the first disk (movie). I observe that when compressing the movie it transforms the files VOB in other smaller ones and then it unites the pieces to form new VOB of 1 GB. There it's where the pauses appear. In the disk 2 (extras) don't appear pauses since all are files small VOB and it only compresses them without uniting them.
    I also use Shrink 3.0 Beta 5
In the help of the version 2.3 says that some problems of pauses is solved. Will they have reappeared in the version 3?
Is there some other programs to compress the movies?
