First they were big enough, when in MPEG format but had to transform them to avi and are now to big for one cd
Thnx for help

encode them to a different codec, DivX is the highest quality for the smallest size for AVI (I think) but they will still be pretty big.
could encode them back to mpeg or edit the clips and take out what you don't need in the video. -
You shuld be able to easily compress them MPEG-4 style into 700MB using XVID or whatever. Make sure your settings for the codec are correct. Try some guide or whatever.

I canoot cut out any clips because it's a whole episode of a series
i have some episodes and they're like 3on one cd, and these, i cannot even fit one on one cd.
which programs to use, how to do it (the steps)?
sorry for probably stupid questions but i'm completely new to this
thnx -
Use virtualdub. Under video select full processing mode, chose your compression codec, DivX, Xvid, etc, then specify your bitrate. Then select full processing mode and your compression codec (mp3) for the audio. Then save AVI.
