Well,
After not using Movistar 5 for some time, it has now started playing funny games.
It will capture video but when I try to create a title and drag and drop into teh storyboard the PC crashes.
I have tried finding patches, reinstalling etc but still the same.
Does anyone know of a patch I can download.
Alternativelty what about other software. What I am afteris something wuite simple to use which will allow me to capture video from DV, edit add effects etc and then allow me to create a DVD as well.
Cheers
Kwack

Don't use Moviestar. It's terrible.
Try Ulead VS7. It's cheap, simple and does what you want.
Another to try is Pinnacle Studio. I don't use it but I know many do.
It seems more bugs exist in pinnacle, but version 9 may be better. -
Adobe premiere is fairly good: I have been using it for a while. It's fairly good.
I'm looking into pinnacle liquid edition 5 right now though. It's supposed to be a bit better than premiere.I guess I'll know soon enough.
Although, these do not have DVDauthoring capabilities -
If you have windows XP you should try Movie Maker 2 (MM 1 comes with XP, MM2 is downloadable from the windows site and is free). I find it great for capturing and editing, titles, audio pictures, transitions, all are very easy. Save to computer as AVI and burn with MyDVD v5.2.
