Hi guys
I bought a DVD recorder in the week, which i love, only trouble is, i needed a DVD writer to rip the DVD RAM disks im recording.
When i installed the LG my machine and booted up Windows XP - the machine rebooted, i thought it a bit weird as my machine is stable normally.
Anyway, afterwards i installed the DVDRAM driver - and took one of my DVD-RAM diks with some recordings on.
Windows explorer showed the drive and the contents, my problem is, as soon as i click one of the files, my machine just freezes. So i cant copy the files out to edit, author etc.
I can sometimes access the files with DVD AUTHOR - but sometimes it hangs as i click the VRO file. (DVD RAM file)
My machine is an Athlon XP3000 on the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe MB. Its has 1 gig ram, and ive had no probs until now.
What can i try? I thought about re installing an XP OS alongside current machine to see if i get the same, or install drive on another PC. Maybe i could try cable select on the back of the drive rather than slave....?
Any ideas would be great - thanks guys.
