Question #1: What software is recommended for copying DVD's. I'm trying to copy DVD's that I have created with Pinnacle Studio Version 9 or DVD's that I have recordered with my Sony DVD Recorder.

Question #2: How do I format -R DVD's? I have an P4, 1.9 GHz machine running XP. I have a Sony external DVD R/W drive and an internal DVD ROM drive. If I put a -R DVD, the system does not recognize the blank DVD. I assume that there is a utility that would easily format these DVD's. Would the same utility format RW's?

Thank you in advance for your help!

You don't have to format the blanks they are ready to go.

If I put a -R DVD, the system does not recognize the blank DVD.
Make sure your drive is compatible with the media..

Actually, I'm trying to copy DVD's with my PC (from one DVD drive to another DVD drive). Having said that, I believe the Sony DR is RDR GX7. This is really more a PC question. Thank you.
