I just stumbled onto a site that offers discounts to students/teachers and thought I would pass it along. Maybe one of the mods can move this to a more appropriate forum.

    http://www.journeyed.com/cgi-bin/sgsh0101.exe?SKW=jemwebspecial&FNM=01&UID=20040222152...N9=index2.html

    example:

Sony Vegas+DVD architect $269.... retail $800 from Sony.

I don't know what kind of hoops you have to jump through to get the discounts, but it seems like it might be worth while for discounts like these. And considering I am writing a short set of guidelines on buying software and hardware for the students where I work, this could save them some considerable cash!
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

According to this, you need to submit a copy of your student or faculty ID, official class schedule, letter from school on school letterhead, or a paystub from the school in order to purchase at the discount.

  3. Also check out academicsuperstore.com

This is also for students and faculty. I bought my ADVC-100 for 199.00.

Not a bad price at all.

Well that makes it easy! I might just have to order some things
