    How can I backup a DVD on mine into a number of CDs in a SVCD format? What apps do I need? How yo you split the DVD so it will fit in 4 or more CDs so the quality of the movie is high?

    PS: Yes I am new to all this SVCD world.

    Open the VIDEO_TS folder in ffmpegX, select SVCD preset, hit encode.

    Sweet...buth can I partition the movie in a number of CDs so the quality will be better? will this app help me do that?

    Yes, split in multiple CD is done automatically.
