Imax movies ripped down to VCD....

    Irony, stupidity or something else?
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  2. Just like any other movie really, you can buy them on DVD it's logical that someone is going to pirate them.

I agree it is quite stupid though watching a movie on a normal TV when it was shot for IMAX.

I wonder if am image converted from 70mm to DVD instead of 35mm to DVD looks any better. Such as the difference from 35mm and 16mm when converted to DVD. Wonder is you can really see a difference.

  4. How do you watch an IMAX movie on a regular TV?

    That defies the purpose

I agree too and I got at least a couple of space and Earth DVDs really meant for IMAX and I noticed nothing like in the IMAX theater.

  8. I only rented one IMAX DVD, but it's basically a documentary about IMAX theaters and computer graphics...more like an advertisement for the IMAX theaters.

I was very disappointed - nothing what I was expecting it to be like.
That was enough to keep me from renting any others
