    I tried using goldwave but kept getting error message. Also in virtualdub i get no compression found message when i try to full process- volume-increase volume. Anyother program i can use to increase my volume?

    You can do this with BeSweet using the BeSweet GUI which has options for normalize and gain.

    BeSweet is freeware.
