Riteks Freezing

I am using RITEK 1X with printable whitetop and every movie I have burned from the barch freezes near the end. When I used DVDInfoPro it read the media as RITEKG03. I have a Pioneer A05 burner with firmware 1.33, is the media bad or is it the burner?

Sounds like media.. Try this: downsize your project to ~4.2Gb instead of the normal ~4.37Gb.. this shoud work. If not, you have option to return media or reduce the size even further (to ~4.1G).

Do a search for "bad Ritek" (or something like that).. there was just thread on this.

Had exactly the same problem with the same media...thought it might be my player, but it does the same thing in other players. The strange thing is that it freezes near the end of the disk but never in the same spot.

Won't be buying any more of that media.

Must be your burners,i burned close to 50 of them right to the very last byte and never a freeze at the end.

I have a LG 4040B and haven't had a problem with any other media....so far.

you haven't tried every single batch of Ritek ever existed, you know. and yes I had one batch of bad ridata a while ago too and it's not my burner.
