I have a DVD-ROM and a CD drive. I also have this software called DVD Magic that is supposed to be able to burn (unprotected) DVD's to CD-R's. I tried to use it last night and had problems with the program freezing. In the program there is an option for either DivX, VCD or SVCD. Which one should I choose?
Also, I have a (stand alone) DVD burner. Is there an easier way for me to copy DVD's?

If your interested in backin up DVD's you really should invest in a DVD burner for your computer. Their under $100.00 now. A standalone is going to have probelms because of the anti-copy encoded on the disks. A computer ripping program removes these and makes DVD back up much easier.
