We are using our newly bought avermedia dvd ezmaker usb 2.0 card to transfer our old VHS tapes to DVD. Currently we are using the neo software included. While the files captured seem to be ok in terms of audio sync, the finished product is not. It's way off. We also have some skipping in the final burned dvd. Any recommendations? Should we ditch the neo software? Change drivers for the avermedia capture? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I have the same problem with Arcsoft Showbiz and the usb2. With Nero and the NeoDVD that came with it I get a cyclic audio glitch that sounds like a mike being keyed about every 5 - 10 minutes.
I wish I could offer a solution but I can only validate having problems with the Avermedia USB2. I contacted them and the help they offered was unsuccessful.
I've been at it for about 2 weeks now and still have no idea of where to put the money to fix the problem.
I've tried tweaking the system, recording every way I can perceive and am no better off.
I have an hp a230n so I've enough cpu, but it's not much help.
