    I rip my dvd into mpg, but somehow I can't burn it to VCD or SVCD. It required a dvd plugin, but I have it too; it still didn't work....the file name is X.Men.2000.CD1.WS.SWESUB.DVDRip.SVCD-DDX.MPG

    To quote you: Forget about that! First, the plugins are needed to convert other formats to SVCD/DVD, not to author and burn them. You seem to have converted it already.
    Second, there are better applications for creating a (S)VCD than Nero (by far...) Try VCDEasy. It's the best there is for this.
