hey, i'm doing a conversion from DV to DVD with Tmpgenc Plus and need to compress the audio a little better then PCM to fit more onto the dvd...i've heard that Mpeg-1 Layer2 audio doesn't work in some players, is this true? if it is then is there any other sound format i could convert to easily? (better than PCM). any suggestions would help![]()
thx, josh

MP2 audio is not in the DVD standard for NTSC (North America) although many (most?) DVD players will still play it. If you want to compress your audio more and still be 100% DVD compliant then you need to encode your audio into AC3. Look in the guides or do a search as I don't know the best way. 8)
