Hi does anyone know the default rip rate of the Pioneer DVR-107. I just ordered one, I currently have a 105 with the 1.30 hacked 12X rip firmware.

It rips as well as my liteon 166 using the 1.05 hacked FW. Default was 2x I think but I never use it for ripping.

Well, I think that the reason you didn't get many replies is because you question could have simply been answered by looking at the feedback under the DVD Writers section to the left. It is locked at 2x unless you use the hacked firmware which will allow it to rip at up to 12x. You'll get better responses when you try to answer your questions with a bit of research instead of just throwing it out on the forum.

Oh now I get replies. haha
I didn't wanna look, you slaves did the work for me, thanks. Oh and I found the firmware two minutes after I posted. -
Actually, my 107D ripped a DVD last night at up to 5x. The firmware is unchanged. Only noticed it because my 16x DVD-ROM was giving read errors on a disc.
