I'm not sure whether this has been mentioned or found yet in this forum that DVDdecryptor can identify what type of media you have. Please see below. I'm fan of DVDinfo and found this to be another option for finding media info when DVDinfo has a new update and the old version refuses to work.

    Pre-recorded Information:
    Manufacturer ID: BeAll G00001

    Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):
    Book Type: DVD-R
    Part Version: 5
    Disc Size: 120mm
    Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified

hhhmmm...I just noticed this too...I use ver 3.1.4.0 and found this in the version history:

    DVD Decrypter 3.1.4.0 (18/11/2002)
    Improved support for DVD+RW/+R drives
    Improved support for DVDRAM drives
    Improved error reporting
Improved device / disc information given in ISO modes

never would have thought about it before...but there it is...
